News and Thoughts

Great News for the Mac Users
Woah! Surprise good news for Mac Users! Turns out Riot has been working on a League of Legends client for Mac and is finally ready to pull the community in to test it out on PBE.

This is a extract by Udyr with the awesome news:

"Greetings Summoners,
I'm pleased to report that the long-awaited (fabled? mythical?) League of Legends Mac client is almost ready, and it's heading into open beta soon™.
And by soon™, I mean that it's available right now on the Public Beta Environment. Open beta, which will allow anyone to access the live servers on Macs, will follow after we're confident in the results from the PBE test.
To make this happen, we've been hard at work: Riot engineers re-wrote a lot of the underlying game engine so that both PC and Mac platforms share the same code base and assets. This means Mac players will receive all future features, bug fixes, and new content at the same time as PC users.
While we aren't quite ready for a full open beta launch, we wanted to share the Mac client with PBE players to help us find bugs and give feedback.
Download the Mac PBE client here, patch up, and log in to help us make the Mac League of Legends experience as awesome as possible!
Thanks to the Mac community for your extraordinary patience -- and a very special thanks to a particularly astounding group of folks who helped many of you play League via an unofficial client over the past months.
Best,
Steve "Udyr" Mieczkowski"

Steel Legion Garen
New Steel Legion Series Skins

Steel Legion Lux
Riot Games recently released two brand new skins for Garen and Lux, both skins are named Steel Legion.

In my personally opinion I actually think these two skins are awesome, especially the Steel Legion Garen, and I will definitely buy it when it comes out.

Duh new champion: Thresh

Thresh was realised by Riot games only a few days ago, with the applied  IP cost increment for new champions from the original: 6300 IP, to the new 7800 IP, Thresh is actually being played a lot. I guessed Riot's price change did help them make that extra FARM (LOL, that pun) .

Personally I think thresh is a great pick in games, but he's tend to be played as a support rather than what I believe to be played at the top lane or the in the jungle to maximise the potential of his passive, collecting those dead souls.
Thresh, the Chain Warden

Thresh also has insane amount of damage output and with the passive helping him become rather tanky. At top lane he will  be utilise his "E", helping to set up awesome gank, and will generally guarantee a kill if Thresh has his Ultimate up, as this will slow the enemy by 99% (technically a stun) and deal 250/ 400/500 (100% AP) magic damage to the enemy, but this can also be used in bot lane, and potentially giving a double kill to your ADC or your junglier. But this doesn't mean Thresh without his Ultimate is useless, he still has his "Q" , "Q's passive", "W" also his "E". With "W" Thresh will be able to give his allies both in the lane phase or the late game shield , and sometimes in lane phase Thresh and his ADC will be able to poke the enemy, but using his "Q passive" and also allowing the ADC to quickly do some high damage to the enemy and quickly picking up that lantern and get back to Thresh.
